"Just wanted you to know that this was one of the most interesting and best classes we have had. There were only 5 of us attending, so wanted to make sure I followed up (I know at some point I will get an eval, but not always sure which class I am replying to in those). Anyway, Jo and her friend were very outgoing, knowledgeable and organized. They decorated the granite eating surface (decorative napkins, candies). She had all the ingredients out and turned facing us so that we could see what she used. She had printed a handout with the recipes, but so much more--she had color pictures of each dish, color pictures of key ingredients so we would know what she used and what it looked like. The back listed Oriental groceries that would have the Korean ingredients, one of her favorite Korean restaurants, etc. She paused and explained everything. Her friend/assistant was Japanese and we talked a little about her background and the differences and similarities of Korean and Japanese versus Chinese food. I believe Judy and I (sisters) were the only people who have attended cooking classes before, we had a young couple who love Korean (and were celebrating the husband's birthday) and a gentleman whose wife has passed away and he has now taken up cooking--everyong thought the class was delightful. Thank you so much--this was very similar in some way to when we did the "Diversity Dining" and went to ethnic restaurants where the owners/managers explained the food, the heritage, what part of the country they were from, etc." Debra~
